Mike Tyson continues his recover after being forced to postpone his fight with Jake Paul until November this year, although a recent video has left fans very concerned for the health of the 58-year-old.

It comes after Tyson pushed their July 20 date back to the winter after sustaining a stomach ulcer meaning he could no longer train. As Paul contractually agreed they would both have the same amount of prep time, it led to a long delay by Netf

Yet fans are worried for the ex-undisputed heavyweight champion of the world thanks to his recent video when he announced the new date of November 15 at the same time as Netflix on X.com, formerly Twitter.

“Different date, same fate,” said Tyson on the Elon Musk-owned social media platform. “I’m going to knock out Jake Paul.”

However, the delivery of the words, in front of his Aston Martin car, sounded rasp as though he had recently lost his voice which left fans questioning his fitness as he bids to take on a professional fighter nearly 30 years younger.

“Mike are you okay you look out of breathe from saying one sentence,” an influencer with 122,000 followers asked online.

So far, it seems as though everyone is worried for the potential impact of this fight on the two-time boxing champion, who hasn’t fought as a pro in 19 years, or at all since 2020.

The concern is so much so that the bout will contain fewer rounds, shorter rounds and heavier gloves to try to protect him from health issues that could be developed such as dementia.

Mike Tyson is still promising to render Jake Paul unconscious when the two finally meet in the ring on November 15.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion was initially slated to face Paul, 27, on July 20 in a controversial bout three weeks after his 58th birthday.

However, after suffering a medical emergency on a recent flight from Miami to Los Angeles, ‘Iron’ Mike was forced to pull out of the summer contest and rearrange his clash with the YouTuber-turned-fighter for later this year.

Despite his health scare delaying it for just under four months, Tyson remains supremely confident of winning by knockout on the new November date.

In a chilling video message, the boxing legend warned Paul after their fight was officially rescheduled: ‘Different date, same fate. Imma knockout Jake Paul.’

Tyson is said to have become nauseous and dizzy on his recent cross-country flight due to an ulcer flare up, forcing airline staff to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board.

Paramedics later boarded the plane to treat him after it had touched down in LA.

‘He was in first class, but we were an exit row,’ an eyewitness added.

‘They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter. [The stewardess] said something like, “He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s OK.” I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words “Mike Tyson” and she nodded her head yes.’

Paramedics boarded the plane, which had already been delayed by two hours in Miami because of the heat, once it touched down in Los Angeles to give treatment.

Typical symptoms of an ulcer flare up include nausea and vomiting, bloating, belching and gas pain, as well as chest pain and fatigue.

It comes after In Touch first revealed on Monday morning that Tyson ‘had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded’.

In a recent interview for TMZ SPORTS, Paul admitted that this is the toughest challenge of his career and that he will need to manage his nerves in front of tens of thousands of live spectators, with an estimated 100 million expected to watch on Netflix. Tyson, who won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round, is certainly far from that level now.

The atmosphere was festive and relaxed. There was no bad blood. The fighters in both matches expressed abundant respect and admiration for their opponents. During an audience question-and-answer portion, a 16 year old from Queens who introduced himself as Xavier said he was an aspiring boxer who grew up watching Paul and his brother, Logan, and thanked them both for “making” his childhood.

The boy went on to reveal that he was pulling for Paul — “please don’t kill me, Mike” — and asked Paul what advice he would give young people with limited financial means who are interested in boxing. By the end of the exchange, Paul motioned for someone from his support team to take the boy’s information down because he promised to send him “a bunch of gear and stuff.”
