It seems Floyd Mayweather Jr. is taking it easy on a lavish European vacation. Some time ago, the undefeated former champion shared snapshots and clips of him enjoying a card session with a bunch of friends aboard a train in France. The boxing legend, now active in the exhibition boxing circuit post-retirement, last dueled John Gotti III in a controversial event.

The world’s richest boxer enjoys his downtime at exotic locales. Usually, he prefers to jet set on one of his priced Gulfstreams to reach the destination. However, as his post conveyed, for a change, he decided to give some time off to his pilot crew. Thus, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the gang headed to the ‘City of Love’ on one of the best-operated train systems in the world. From the looks of it, they appeared to have taken the world-famous Train à Grande Vitesse, or TGV.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.: Rumble in the Rails

In the post, Floyd Mayweather Jr. wrote, “I gave my pilots a couple of days off, and 15 of us hopped on a train to Paris to move around a little bit!” The first clip showed him sitting by the window seat with cards spread out in hand. A few bundles of bills decked the table. A friend, seated diagonally across the table, distributed the pieces. As the game progressed, they randomly picked the cards from the draw pile and arranged them alongside the one in hand.

The game carried on, though there appeared to be some sort of confusion in the second footage. His voice was barely audible amidst the loud noise of the train. However, one of his friends could be heard saying, “You ain’t need it; you ain’t need it.” However, he subsequently played a card down.

From the warm hot springs of Iceland to the ice-laden roads in Aspen, Colorado, the video footage showed Floyd Mayweather Jr. having a gala time with family and friends.

Novak Djokovic is looking for his sixth title in the California desert, which would break the record he shares with Federer.

Novak Djokovic wants it all. The best tennis player who ever wielded a racket so far arrived on Saturday to claim an impressive victory at the Indian Wells Masters 1000, the first tournament of the category in the calendar and that he had not played since 2019, between the pandemic and a vaccine against COVID-19.

Djokovic is poised to get a new record in the California desert. The six titles would break the all-time high of five that he currently shares with Roger Federer.

Djokovic Wins in Return to Indian Wells after 5-year Absence

The Serb, who defeated Alexandar Vukic 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, has now reached 400 Masters 1000 victories, the only other player to have more than him is Rafael Nada with 406. A record that the Mallorcan could lose when they meet in just two weeks in Miami.

The 24-time major champion will face in the third round of Indian Wells the Italian ‘lucky loser’ as some call Luca Nardi, who defeated the Chinese Zhang, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. The tennis player from Belgrade, who turns 37 on May 22, lives an eternal youth: “It’s been five years since I last played here and it seems like yesterday,” he claimed.

Simone Biles has been lately posting updates of her Hawaiian holiday with her husband and giving away something to drool about in every post. Amid all these, she succinctly expressed her love for a four-legged creature. No, these are not her furry babies. It was the horses that took her heart. So much so that she made her husband, Jonathan Owens, ride on that. But that one outing does not seem to have satiated her love for the equines.

Therefore, Simone Biles embarked on that again. The 4x Olympic gold medalist churned out her childhood cowgirl dream, taking Jonathan Owens on an equestrian adventure one more time. Her Instagram handle remained witness to that.

Simone Biles posted an Instagram story with her husband Jonathan Owens, and her childhood love, the horses. Photographed by Esther, she was seen in a black outfit nurturing her adoration for horses since ever. The two were seen having some cozy moments alongside the horses. Whereas other snaps found them riding the equines in a serene green backdrop. “New Post :)),” wrote Simone in the caption. She also showcased it on an Instagram post. One comment to that caught attention instantly.

Simone Biles' Husband Jonathan Owens Again Says He Had 'No Clue' Who She Was

Jonathan Owens openly declared, “The only person who could get me on a horse ❤️😂”  Many might find it to be a replay of what took place just a few days back in this holiday outing only. On that occasion, expressing her love for equines, Simone Biles’ story expressed her excitement about getting acquainted with a colt alongside the sea beach. As she and Jonathan later rode the horse, the latter came out writing, “She (Simone Biles) got me out here on a horse.” Interestingly, amid this Hawaiian holiday, Biles took time to look into the Rodeo realm while rekindling her childhood love for the horses.

Dreaming of being a cowgirl ever since her childhood, just a few days back, the Olympian wrote a post celebrating Kortnee Solomon’s accolade during Women’s History Month. She recently became the first Black cowgirl to compete at the nationally televised ‘Black Rodeo’. Lauding her, Simone Biles wrote, “YES MA’AM 👏🏾👏🏾🤍🤍 go girl go girl!!!!” Alongside, she also revealed her attachment to the horses once again.

Lauding her, Simone said, “Congratulations on a sensational year, last year. It’s wonderful to see women’s sports take such huge strides around the world and you’re an inspiration to many other girls who want to be a jockey or just to achieve their dreams.” Being one of the most successful sportspersons, Simone has achieved enough a lot. However, behind that, a child seems to remain till now. The Hawaiian outing successfully brought that out.

Fresh off her MMA victory over Kelsey DeSantisClaressa Shields is not resting. Her combat spirit is unquenched. Shields, the boxing GWOAT, now eyes the boxing ring again. Past confrontations? They fuel her fire. Remember her sparring with Cris Cyborg? That intensity hasn’t faded.

Now, Shields throws down the gauntlet after verbal spats. Alycia Baumgardner, who is now cleared to get back in the ring, is in her sights. Will Baumgardner step up? Can she handle Shields’ prowess?

154 Pounds of fury from Claressa Shields

Claressa Shields took to Twitter with her trademark bravado after Alycia Baumgardner made a post that simply read, “Sign The Contract”, laying out bold challenges in no uncertain terms. Her first tweet thundered, “You got to come direct, who you telling the sign the contract? Y’all H03s ready to get smoked at 154, JUST LET ME KNOW, PUT IT ON THE FLO BIHH -Latto 🎶 #GWOAT #Claressashields #ShieldsBumgardner ????”

This fiery call-out wasn’t just a random taunt; it was a calculated dare aimed squarely at Alycia Baumgardner, newly cleared of her suspension and hungry to reaffirm her dominance in the boxing world. Just as she steps back into the limelight, free from the shadows of her suspension, Shields’ challenge beckons, offering a high-stakes showdown that could redefine both their careers.

Alycia Baumgardner, emerging fresh from her battle to clear her name from doping allegations, now faces a different kind of fight. The timing couldn’t be more perfect, or intense.

Meanwhile, Shields’ competitive flame burned just as fiercely towards MMA powerhouse Cris Cyborg. Merely minutes later, her second tweet escalated the challenge: “This H03 pressed too! Are you fighting me at 154 or not! #GWOAT #ShieldsSlowborg 😂” This wasn’t merely a tweet, she issued Cyborg the challenge with a screenshot showing that Cyborg blocked Shields on Twitter.

Negotiations to knockouts

The high-stakes tension between Claressa Shields and Cris Cyborg teeters on the edge of becoming a monumental showdown. Shields recounted their past, detailing a sparring session where she dominated, stating, “When I fought against Cris Cyborg in 2018, I took it easy on her… The first and the second round, I beat the s**t out of Cris Cyborg.” Her confidence is palpable, dismissing Cyborg’s boxing skills with, “She cannot box… she can’t mess with me on the day I have a flu.”

This recount of their sparring match amplifies the anticipation, with Shields provocatively calling out, “@criscyborg when you want me to spank your a** again!?” Their previous encounters in the ring, laden with competitive fervor, set the stage for what could be a historic clash, transcending the boundaries of their respective sports.

As the world watches, the questions linger—will Baumgardner step into this high-stakes arena? Can Cyborg settle their unfinished business in the ring? Who do you think will rise to the challenge and face the indomitable Claressa Shields?

The current trend in boxing has champions prioritizing an undefeated record above all else. This strategy could be seen as a byproduct of the influence of Floyd Mayweather on boxing. Mayweather’s dominance in the ring, coupled with his shrewd business decisions, has shown fighters like Manny PacquiaoMiguel CottoCanelo Alvarez, and Danny Garcia a different path to success.

Mayweather’s impact goes beyond his own career. He’s influenced the fight game by demonstrating the value of strategic opponent selection and career management. Still, he managed to go undefeated against skilled boxers like Oscar De La HoyaZab JudahShane Mosley and even Andre Berto. Now many fighters, even in the current era, strive to remain undefeated and want to land a lucrative fight as soon as possible in their career. However, according to American commentator, Floyd Mayweather himself doesn’t support the ‘Mayweather Effect’.

Floyd Mayweather doesn’t want fighters to follow him

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. | Biography & Facts | Britannica

Not that long ago, Floyd Mayweather asked Terence Crawford to give Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis a chance inside the ring. However, a renowned commentator who goes by the name of Showbizz the Adult explained how Mayweather once talked about why he chose the “currency over legacy“. However, as per the commentator, at that time, Mayweather didn’t think that the other boxers would start following him, but when he saw what was happening, he wanted to reinforce the idea of old-school boxing where the fighters took on any formidable challenger regardless of the “currency” the fight would bring.

Showbizz stated, “Floyd Mayweather never meant for the whole boxing world to follow him like that. Floyd Mayweather was just giving an explanation on why he’s moving the way he’s moving. And it helped make him ‘TBE’. The thing about Floyd, he also had integrity. Look at his resume. Amazing. Look at his boxing ability. Amazing. He didn’t expect all these people to be followers and not do exactly what he did.” But now Mayweather had seen the effects of the ‘Floyd Mayweather Effect’ and he didn’t intend it to be that way.
Furthermore, he continued, “You all trying to be like me and you all ain’t like me. Now Floyd is talking that real s**t. We gotta get back to old school. Time to right the wrongs baby.” For that reason, he wants Terence Crawford to give Jaron Ennis a chance since he’s a boxer who deserves a spotlight.
Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul Fight Results
Floyd Mayweather is throwing his weight behind Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis as Terence Crawford’s next opponent. Crawford, struggling to secure a high-profile fight, was initially expected to rematch Errol Spence Jr. However, those plans fell through, leaving Crawford without a dance partner. Mayweather suggests that Crawford take on the rising star Ennis.
This matchup would be a fresh alternative for Crawford and could generate significant anticipation. Mayweather stated, “Somebody’s gotta give ‘Boots’ the opportunity. It’s been difficult for Terence Crawford to get the Spence rematch done, it’s been difficult to get the Canelo fight done, so his other option is to fight ‘Boots’ Ennis.” Currently, he’s the IBF welterweight titlist, and their bout would again allow Crawford to contest for the undisputed title.

Palmer is one of the highest earners with inflation included at No 4 overall at $1.76billion. He only earned $885million without inflated figures.

Finishing in between Jordan and Palmer are Tiger Woods and Cristiano Ronaldo, with Woods being the only other athlete to cross $2billion all-time at $2.66B with inflation adjustments.

Ronaldo’s big-money transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr helped the Portuguese international come in third at $1.92B in inflation-adjusted earnings.
