Floyd Mayweather is on video saying he wanted to kill Jake Paul after the Youtuber took his hat

READ MORE ;NO KHAN DO How six-word statement cost Amir Khan super-fight with Floyd Mayweather after boxing legend ‘spat his dummy out’

You all remember the time when during a press event for the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight, Jake Paul stole the show. When Jake stole Floyd’s cap, Logan Paul already knew this was happening but he wasn’t expecting the over-the-top reaction from the legendary boxer. Clearly, he loudly threatened to kill Jake Paul multiple times. In fact, when the whole event happened, there were people from Mayweather’s entourage who punched Jake Paul in the head. The bad blood was palpable and Floyd had to go on Barstool Sports’ Sundae Conversation right after it happened. But for Jake Paul, life has been kind of dangerous since that happened.

Jake Paul Said He'd Struggle Watching Logan Paul Box Floyd Mayweather

During an interview on the ‘In Depth with Graham Bensinger show, Logan Paul revealed that Jake Paul still has a 24-hour security team with him when he goes to Miami. This is out of fear for the death threats he got directly from Floyd Mayweather when the incident took place. He said: “Jake has not been without a security guard since that moment. What the f*** do we know about Miami, bro? Floyd knows Miami, he’s been around the block,’ claiming ‘he got goons who kill a man for $200. He told me he was gonna do it, I didn’t think he was gonna do it. He did it, and I felt like Jake had put me in jeopardy. If I break my hand, or get a concussion or get f****d up by Floyd’s guys a month before the biggest moment of my life, trying to save my little brother’s a**, that’s stupid.”

During the same interview, Logan Paul also revealed he has been approached two other times by Floyd Mayweather’s team to fight again. Although this time, Loan Paul is asking a 50-50 purse split instead of the 85-15 from the first fight. Then there is also the alleged lawsuit that Logan Paul has against Floyd for failing to pay him the money from that fight. After a while, Logan did mention that problem was finally sorted out. What ever that means. Currently, Jake Paul is going to do a similar event to what Logan did against Floyd but with Mike Tyson involved. Whether you like them or hate them, by July 21st this year, both of the Paul brothers will have fought two of boxing’s biggest legends.

Anthony Joshua’s plans to become a three-time world heavyweight champion have hit a snag.

The Watford powerhouse is in a primed position to fight for the IBF title should it become vacant, as expected, after Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk do battle for all the marbles on May 18.

Multiple reports claim Joshua will box IBF mandatory Filip Hrgovic for the soon-to-be-vacated title in his next outing in either June or July.

But Hrgovic’s coach, Ronnie Shields, insists a bout between his fighter and Daniel Dubois is in the works for June 1 in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking to W.A.W Boxing, Shields said: “We just found out that Hrgovic is going to be fighting on June 1 and it’s possibly going to be against Daniel Dubois in Saudi Arabia.”

The IBF are next up in the sanctioning body rotation system and so will have the opportunity to order Hrgovic to face the winner of Usyk vs Fury after their inaugural encounter.

However, the heavyweight titans are tied into a two-fight deal so they won’t be able to accept the call.

The IBF has already confirmed that they will strip the winner of the undisputed showdown should they proceed with their rematch and instead order a fight for the vacant belt between Hrgovic and the next highest-ranked boxer.

Currently, that is Joshua who is placed at No.3 in the major sanctioning body’s world heavyweight rankings with No.2 still unoccupied at the time of writing.

Although Shields did not confirm whether Hrgovic vs Dubois would be for the IBF belt it is definitely feasible as ‘Triple D’ is ranked at No.4.

Daniel Dubois Calls Out Filip Hrgovic For Joshua-Ngannou Card

The IBF may choose to elevate Dubois to the vacant No.2 spot when their rating panel meets again next month and then proceed to order a world title fight between Hrgovic and the British boxer.

It seems more than likely that this fight, if signed, will take place on the undercard of Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev’s undisputed light-heavyweight showdown, which is currently pencilled in for June 1 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ben Davison would prefer Anthony Joshua enter a third fight with Oleksandr Usyk over a first with Tyson Fury.

Under Davison’s tutelage, following impressive stoppage victories over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou – opponents Fury struggled with – Joshua has returned to contention to fight for a world heavyweight title having agreed to box the winner of this year’s two undisputed title fights between Usyk and Fury.

Davison was similarly influential in Fury’s return from retirement when he guided him into the risky fight with Deontay Wilder that revived his career, and having since split from the WBC heavyweight champion and more recently been recruited by Joshua, he is potentially on course to confront an opponent he considers a friend.

Fury, at 35 one year older than Joshua, continues to speak positively about Davison’s qualities. It is also tempting to believe that Joshua partly wanted to be trained by him because he already had a future date with Fury in mind.

Davison, however, having enhanced his reputation with Fury and Joshua more than any other fighter, believes that after having helped Joshua rediscover his confidence – he didn’t go as far as to say he wanted Usyk to beat Fury – it is a fight with Usyk, twice victorious over Joshua, he would relish most.

“That’s the fight that we’d love to do,” the trainer said. “We’d love to get a chance to help Joshua put that right.

“I don’t know [if it’s also the fight Joshua wants most]. I don’t think he’s fussed. I think he’s a boxer; he gets matched and he’s happy to kick some a*** either way.

“We’re miles away from it at the minute, because Tyson’s got to fight Usyk – potentially a rematch – so, yeah, we’re still steps away from that. We’ll see [how I feel about preparing Joshua for Fury]. When the time comes around, if the time comes around, we’ll see.

“This deal – obstacle – is in the way for that fight to even be made. To be honest, I still feel like I haven’t managed to recover since that [Joshua-Ngannou] fight. So I haven’t thought about it.”

Joshua had been inactive for nine months the first time he fought Usyk – who will be 37 when in May in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia he fights Fury – and 11 months ahead of their rematch in August 2022.

“There was massive gaps between the first Usyk fight; the second Usyk fight,” Davison continued. “The activity is key, and I think that’s helped him. Get back-to-back training camps; develop his skills. He spent a lot of time with a lot of different trainers; he’s developed other areas of his game, and that’s played a part in him finally getting to where he’s got to.

“It’s a lot of pressure. A lot of work gets put into the build-up. Flights – we had a nightmare getting back [from Riyadh] with a 10, 11-hour delay, and then straight back to work. I didn’t get a chance to have a rest. It’s a hectic schedule at the minute, so I’m still trying to recover.

“It’s not us, it’s [Joshua who deserves the credit for his improved performances]. All we’ve done is just help him. He’s a two-time unified heavyweight champion of the world – an Olympic gold medallist. All we’ve done is help him select the right tools for the job. That’s him. He’s gone out there and done it.

Anthony Joshua is chasing big fights.

Carl Frampton has urged Anthony Joshua to target a fight with Filip Hrgovic as he waits for the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk series to play out.

Joshua has spent the last year rebuilding following two losses to Usyk and his impressive form has seen him launch himself back into the title picture.

Earlier this month, Joshua wasted little time dispatching Francis Ngannou as he stopped the former UFC superstar in two rounds.

It was thought that Joshua could challenge the winner of Fury vs. Usyk, but with that bout containing rematch stipulations, Frampton has suggested that Joshua looks in a different direction.

“If I’m AJ I think I take a Hrgovic fight,” said Frampton when speaking to TNT Sports. “I think that Hrgovic is made for AJ.

“I think that it’s a very, very winnable fight for AJ. I’d have him as a strong favourite in that fight.

“It keeps a bit of momentum going while he’s waiting. He can’t wait on Usyk and Fury. So, I think take a fight, and hopefully get the winner after.”

Anthony Joshua should take on Filip Hrgovic rather than wait for the winner of Tyson Fury against Oleksandr Usyk, according to TNT Sports expert Carl Frampton. Joshua is looking for his next fight after a knockout win against Francis Ngannou, but will have to wait before getting the chance to come up against Fury or Usyk. Frampton described a bout with Hrgovic as “very winnable” for Joshua.

TNT Sports expert Carl Frampton has advised Anthony Joshua to fight Filip Hrgovic while he’s waiting to take on the winner of the highly-anticipated bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua landed a second-round knockout against former MMA fighter Francis Ngannou earlier this month, winning his fourth fight in the past year.

He is still waiting to take on either Fury or Usyk, who will meet for an undisputed heavyweight title fight in May.
The pair agreed to a rematch clause, so Joshua may not get the chance to come up against either for quite some time.
The 34-year-old’s other option is to take on Hrgovic, the mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title.
“If I’m AJ I think I take a Hrgovic fight,” Frampton told TNT Sports.
“I think that Hrgovic is made for AJ. I think that it’s a very, very winnable fight for AJ. I’d have him as a strong favourite in that fight.
“It keeps a bit of momentum going while he’s waiting. He can’t wait on Usyk and Fury… could be three fights, maybe. So, I think take a fight, and hopefully get the winner after.”
Joshua has beaten Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Ngannou over the past 12 months, resurrecting his career after losses to Usyk in September 2021 and August 2022.
Frampton, a former super-bantamweight and featherweight champion, did not appear worried that Joshua was taking on too many fights.

“I like it,” he said. “I like it. I mean, we complain a lot when fighters aren’t that active.
“I think that as long as the fights aren’t too hard, which they haven’t been, then fight all the time.
“I mean, AJ is someone who, in my mind, is someone who lives in the gym. He’s always in the gym. No harm in AJ having four fights a year.”

LAS VEGAS — Calvin Ford believes Keith Thurman has a chance to face Terence Crawford if he defeats Tim Tszyu.

On March 30, Thurman from the United States and Tszyu, 29, from Australia will square off at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be available for pay-per-view on Amazon Prime.

Along with his fellow trainer Kenny Ellis, Ford is a well-known coach who plays a major role in Gervonta Davis’s career. Terence Crawford is the unsung hero in this situation. In July of last year, the two-division undisputed champion stopped Errol Spence Jr. in what was thought to be a 50-50 battle. However, Crawford controlled the bout and ended it via technical stoppage in the ninth round.

Although Crawford was supposed to face Spence again, the bout never materialized, therefore Crawford hinted at a move up in weight. At a catchweight of 155 pounds, Thurman-Tszyu is a fight one class higher than Crawford, who is the current WBC, WBA, and WBO welterweight champion.

Ford sees this battle as an opportunity for one of them to square off against Crawford, the greatest fighter of all time. “Like I said, the winner of this fight may have a chance to fight Terence Crawford. That is motivation right there,” said Ford in media reports.

Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs) is returning from an extended period of inactivity and layoff. In seven years, he has engaged in three fights. Ford doesn’t discount Thurman, who went from being one of the biggest names in the sport to maybe losing out on matches against some of the biggest names of his period, including Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford.

Boxing: Tim Tszyu vs Keith Thurman winner likely to face Terence Crawford

“Thurman’s got options if he pulls this one off. Both of them have something to prove.” said Ford.

In contrast is Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs). Fighting three times in 2023, he seems to be attempting to get things done as quickly as possible. With victories over Brian Mendoza and Tony Harrison, Tszyu has advanced in the competition at that time. With the best names in the sport as his opponents, Tszyu will now try to show that he belongs. On paper, Thurman, 35, is the hardest exam he has taken so far.

McGregor was asked about why he’s been unable to demand his UFC fight date after facing frequent delays to his comeback bout in recent months

Conor McGregor has admitted frustration in being unable to demand his fight date in the way Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury can.

UFC legend McGregor has faced frequent delays to his comeback fight against Michael Chandler but will now seemingly return in the summer. McGregor and Chandler’s fight was announced a year ago as the rivals coached against each other on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter to promote their showdown.

Combat sports reporter Ariel Helwani quizzed McGregor on his uncertain return date by asking him on The MMA Hour: “Anthony Joshua doesn’t wait for the call from Eddie Hearn, Tyson Fury doesn’t wait for the call from Frank Warren. Conor McGregor shouldn’t wait for the call from anyone, the date should be built around you.”

McGregor has out-lined his three-fight plan for this year, which starts with a bout against Chandler, a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz in September and a boxing return against Manny Pacquiao in December. The former two-weight champion insisted he is hoping to stay with the UFC despite not being offered a new deal.

Andy Murray kickstarted his Miami Open 2024 campaign with a win against a struggling Matteo Berrettini. With this, he became only the third active ATP professional with 30 main draw victories in the ATP 1000 tournament. Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal lead the way.

After a lengthy rough patch that saw him go winless for months, Murray finally has some wins under his belt. He came up against Berrettini in the first round of the Miami Open 2024. The Italian himself is on a comeback trail after suffering extended injury troubles. However, he got off to a great start and bagged the first set.

Murray found his groove in the second set, breaking to go up 4-2. A health scare for Berrettini late in the second set saw a brief interruption. Preparing to serve to save the set, he seemed to lose balance and lean on his racket. He stumbled and almost fainted, complaining about dizziness. A medical checkup later, he was deemed okay to continue. However, he could not get back to his level.

He is second despite never winning the title and having last featured in 2017. Both stars have played 13 editions each, as has Murray.

Simone Biles has a Hollywood doppelgänger who might give her a run for her money

The former basketball player turned podcaster Etan Thomas shared a picture of the two on his X handle and wrote, “Is it just me or does #SimoneBiles and Aunt Wanda look a LOT alike?” Aunt Wanda is the famous fictional character Wanda McCullough, or Wanda Mac, played by Smith in the famous American sitcom television series, The Bernie Mac Show, telecasted between 2001 and 2006 on Fox. The uncanny likeness between Simone Biles and Smith in the photo shared by Thomas has amazed everyone.
