It’s been a busy stretch of golf for the younger Woods. He won a state high school championship with his team in Florida last fall. In February, he failed to advance in a qualifying event for the PGA Tour’s Cognizant Classic, shooting a 16-over 86.

He also has played the 36-hole PNC Championship with his father the last four years in a scramble format.

The clay courts of Rome are ready to rumble! The Italian Open gets underway, and young gun Coco Gauff is ready to make some noise. A self-proclaimed Serena Williams devotee, Gauff’s allegiance extends beyond the court. With the ongoing rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar heating up, Gauff has thrown her hat in the ring, siding firmly with King Kendrick. Coco’s take on “the rap beef” surprisingly hinges on Serena Williams.

Gauff, while playing in Rome, continues to keep up with pop culture. On the Day Four of the Internazionali BNL D’Italia 2024, the World No. 3 defeated Magdalena Fręch 6-3, 6-3 in the second round match. However, the usual press conference took a detour for Coco Gauff. A question arose unrelated to her game: her opinion on the ongoing Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud.

Coco Gauff Brings Up Serena Williams in Giving Her Verdict on Drake-Kendrick Rap Beef - The SportsRushFresh off her Wednesday win at the Italian Open (May 8th), tennis star Naomi Osaka faced a surprising press conference question – the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar rap battle. While claiming neutrality, the 26-year-old’s response hinted at a slight lean towards Kendrick. Coco, already aware of a similar question being asked as Osaka, said, “I knew you were going to ask me this because you asked Naomi (smiling)”, at first, echoing some of the sentiments Osaka expressed on Wednesday.

Later the 20-year-old made her pick saying, “To be honest, yeah, I like Kendrick’s songs more. Yeah, I think pretty much everybody I know is leaning towards him. I do like Drake as an artist, as well. But, yeah, as far as like the rap battle that’s going on, the rap beef, I think definitely Kendrick is winning.” But her pick wasn’t random. Gauff revealed the clear reason she sided with Kendrick over Drake.

Coco Gauff, a die-hard Serena Williams fan, couldn’t stay neutral after Drake’s past remarks about her idol. Gauff here is likely talking about the song; “Middle of the Ocean”, from 2022, which contains Drake’s “groupie” jab for Serena’s husband, Alexis Ohanian. On the flip side, in Kendrick Lamar’s May 4th diss track “Not Like Us,” he specifically warned Drake to “not speak on Serena.” Seeming annoyed by such a move, Coco said“Drake, like, dissed Serena so I have to go with Kendrick. Impressed Serena Williams’ fan reemphasized her choice, stating, “Kendrick defended her. So, yeah, I have to go with him.”

Drake dropped ‘Push-Ups, in response to ‘Like That targeting many rap stars, particularly Lamar. He also released ‘Taylor Made’, mocking Lamar with AI voices of Tupac and Snoop. Lamar responded with ‘Euphoria’, then Drake countered with ‘Family Matters’. Lamar returned with ‘Meet the Grahams’ and ‘6:16 in LA’, followed by Drake’s ‘The Heart Part 6’. The feud seems to have settled post Drake’s last track.

Coco Gauff Wants To Be Her 'Best' w/o Emulating Serena Williams

Several people around the world are invested in the drama between K-Dot and the Champagne Papi, with tennis stars involved in the mix. As Gauff said in her response, Osaka also revealed her side in the ongoing drama, joining Williams’ husband and Gauff.

Osaka pins hopes on Kendrick’s comeback

A big fan of rap, even having a child with rap star Cordae Dunston Amari, Naomi Osaka was bound to make a definite choice. After her match against Marta Kostyuk, Osaka said, “You know, I’m a pacifist. I’m a neutral party. However, Kendrick dropped some heat in that last song. That last song is amazing, and I played it walking onto the court. Currently, I think Kendrick’s doing a good job,” mentioning 6:16 in LA.

Coco Gauff Recalls Best Advice From Serena Williams

Osaka is thrilled with the influx of new K. Dot tunes since he typically doesn’t flood the market. On the same lines, the four-time grand slam champion was hopeful that Lamar will release more tracks. “Me being a Kendrick fan, I haven’t gotten this many Kendrick songs in a very long time. If he wants to keep dropping,” she concluded.

Mike Tyson hasn’t fought professionally since losing to Kevin McBride 19 years ago but will make his comeback against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in July aged 58

Boxing will be “seen as a circus” if Mike Tyson’s fight with Jake Paul remains a professional bout, one of the UK’s top promoters has warned.

Ex-heavyweight champion Tyson, 57, is set to make his return to professional boxing in July after a 19-year hiatus to take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul in Texas. Paul is 30 years younger than Tyson, who will be 58 by the time the controversial fight takes place.

There are huge concerns about Tyson’s health heading into the fight. The veteran has been seen using a wheelchair and walking cane in recent years, while his training videos have asked rather than answered questions about his fitness.

Mike Tyson admits he's 'scared to death' about Jake Paul fight | Fox News

Tyson’s fight with Paul was initially expected to be an exhibition due to the former’s age. But last week, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) sanctioned it as professional. Speaking to Mirror Sport in New York before that decision was made, Boxxer CEO Ben Shalom was asked whether he would promote such a fight.

“As long as it’s clear that it’s not real boxing, I think definitely,” Shalom replied. “It’s a spectacle, it’s a form of entertainment.”

The promoter added: “There’s no way you can justify a 57-year-old fighting in a professional fight. For me, that’s where things need to be clear, and then the sport doesn’t suffer. I think it does suffer if boxing is seen as a circus. But as a form of entertainment, people can do what they want.”

Jake Paul makes promise to 'end' Mike Tyson | Marca

Paul has faced criticism during his boxing career. The YouTuber turned professional in 2020 but has since fought mostly little-known boxers or MMA fighters. He boasts a 9-1 record, with his only loss coming against former Love Island star Tommy Fury.

Shalom believes anyone can transition into professional boxing if they’re good enough, but he’s struggling to justify Tyson’s comeback fight. “Viddal Riley is a big YouTuber and a fantastic professional boxer who we have (at Boxxer).

“Professional boxing is professional, so there’s a certain standard required. I think anyone can do that, and it doesn’t matter what their background is.

“But a 57-year-old in a ring can’t be classed as professional boxing – as much as it’s a fantastic event. I think as long as it’s advertised as such… My biggest problem with the whole YouTuber boxing was it perhaps not being clear that this is a celebrity fight. Celebrities fighting is very, very different to professional athletes.”

The controversial fight between Tyson and Paul will be streamed live on Netflix, as the service tries to break into live sport. ” Mike Tyson wanted it to be a pro fight,” Paul wrote on X after the bout was sanctioned as professional. “Netflix wanted it to be a pro fight. It appears Floyd Mayweather Jr. is already plotting his next move in the world of celebrity boxing

As one of the most recognized faces on planet earth, retired boxer Floyd Mayweather makes the news with every move he makes. This is especially true if we are talking about a potential next fight for the 50-0 boxer. Ever since he returned to boxing in a retired capacity, Floyd fought Conor McGregor in one of the highest grossing fights ever and continued to fight another seven times. Amongst his most famous opponents, we have people like Logan Paul or John Gotti III. That most recent fight against Gotti endedin a brawl that almost turned into a tragedy. But it seems Floyd is searching for his next opponent in Great Britain, specifically a famous actor from the islands.

According to a recent interview conducted by boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, hip-hop artist Bugzy Malone whose name is Aaron Daniel Davis revealed he is currently in talks to fight against Mayweather. According to Malone, Floyd Mayweather Sr. was the one who spotted him in a workout video and suggested the potential fight to his son. The rapper was on Eddie Hearn’s ‘No Passion, No Point’ podcast to talk about many different things. He dropped the news and explained how the approach happened. Bugzy initially didn’t believe Floyd wanted to fight him because a supporter approached him to possibly do advertising through a private jet company.Mayweather reached out through this company. Bugzy then used a diss track to call out Floyd.

Here’s what Malone said: “Now, I’ve turned down a few boxing matches because a lot of what’s going on now in the boxing space is like the YouTube boxing thing. I’m not really interested in stepping into it, so I was like, ‘Ah, OK. Who’s your client?’ And he’s like, ‘Floyd Mayweather.’ Flipping changed the whole conversation. Before I even thought of, ‘Hold on, am I getting my head punched in there all night long?’ I just said, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘Floyd Sr likes your physique, he said you look strong.’ So then we start talking to them about the weight, like, ‘What do you want me to weigh on this night?’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah, you can come in heavier.’ And I thought, ‘Flipping heck, that gives me a puncher’s chance.'”

Oleksandr Usyk discusses his undisputed heavyweight title showdown against Tyson Fury in an exclusive interview with TNT Sports. The Ukrainian has suggested Fury’s injury – which postponed an initial February date for the fight – was genuine. Usyk also claims he feels as good as he did 12 years ago, when he won gold at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Oleksandr Usyk has suggested Tyson Fury’s recent injury was genuine, joking that if the British superstar was performing “he deserves an Oscar”.
The undisputed heavyweight title showdown – live on TNT Sports Box Office on May 18 – has been a long time in the making. The pair have been on a collision course since the autumn of 2022, with a series of failed talks finally seeing a resolution in the last six months.
Tyson Fury v Oleksandr Usyk undisputed heavyweight title fight off after Briton sustains cut - BBC Sport
Usyk’s back-to-back wins over Anthony Joshua ensured he held the WBA, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine titles, while Fury wrestled the WBC version from Deontay Wilder.
The introduction of Riyadh Season ensured the behemoth payday on offer to boxing’s glamour division was enough to lure all parties to the negotiating table, with Fury’s October 2023 bout against former UFC king Francis Ngannou seen as the perfect staging ground for a December fight announcement.
However, the ‘Gypsy King’ only snuck by the boxing novice with a controversial points win, and needed time to recuperate a bruised body and ego. February 17 was eventually set as the date of destiny.
Fury then pulled out with a fortnight’s notice, having suffered a cut just above his right eye in sparring. Some pundits and fans questioned the validity of the injury, and the confirmation of the rearranged fight came with a $10 million penalty if either man was to withdraw.

Reflecting on that period, Usyk told TNT Sports: “I was worried about Tyson Fury, that there might be injuries and that our fight might not take place. If he was performing, I think he deserves an Oscar.
“It has to happen because we have a contract. It’s a problem only for Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury signed a contract, so he has to fight.”
The victor next Saturday will be crowned the first undisputed heavyweight champion in a quarter of a century, while Usyk is eyeing more history as he aims to hold all four major belts in two divisions, having also cleaned up at cruiserweight. Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue are the only two men to have achieved this feat, down at lighter weights.
Jordan takes aim at Fury who ‘should be ashamed’ if Usyk fight doesn’t happen
It would cap off a remarkable career for the Ukrainian, whose amateur days saw him win a gold medal at the London Olympics 12 years ago. That was at heavyweight, at the same Games in which Joshua scooped the top prize at super-heavyweight.
Usyk still feels as sprightly as he did at 25. He continued: “I feel incredible, as good as I did at the 2012 Olympic Games. Just as young and energetic, with a big desire to move forward.
“It’s the most important fight of my career, my sports career and my sporting life. I want to say that my victory is the victory of the entire Ukrainian people, and defeat is personal. It has been an incredible journey. I can do anything now.”
Usyk, now 37, has fought just once since the Joshua rematch, in which he displayed an engine in the late rounds like never before. That victory – No. 21 in the pros overall – came against Daniel Dubois in August of last year, via a ninth-round knockout in Poland.

Tyson Fury‘s reported purse for his undisputed heavyweight bout against Oleksandr Usyk this month has been revealed.

The Gypsy King will face off against Usyk on May 18 in Riyadh in a bid to become the first unified heavyweight world champion in 24 years.

While Usyk is the IBF, WBO, and IBO title holder, Fury is the incumbent WBC

With both fighters still unbeaten after immense professional careers it is no surprise that the finances involved are jaw-dropping.

Fury is reportedly contracted to earn 70 per cent of the the total purse, according to The Independent.
