Gervonta Davis refuses to be Errol Spence Jr.’s tune-up opponent

After Sebastian Fundora beat Tim Tszyu to become the unified Super-Welterweight champion of the world, Errol Spence Jr., who watched the fight live, entered the ring to call out Fundora. As ‘The Towering Inferno’ had “got the big dog,” Tim Tszy, ‘The Truth’ said it was time he fought Fundora in the ring. However, the boxing commentator known as 2ToneDaSupastar suggested Spence Jr. rather fight Gervonta Davis to recover from the loss against Crawford before trying himself against Fundora.

Aht! Aht! Errol Spence you need a TUNE UP!! That Terence Crawford A** whooping wasn’t a regular A** whooping,” he said. “Gone and get with Gervonta Davis match maker and get a soft touch,” he added. Soon, the statement came to Gervonta Davis’ notice!

In a reply which was captured by BOXING n BBQ, Davis told 2ToneDaSupastar, “Ima beat yo fat a** when I catch you omm.” Well, frankly speaking, it is unlikely that Errol Spence Jr. and Gervonta Davis will lock horns. In addition to being four inches shorter than ‘The Truth,’ Davis will have to climb up to the Super-Welterweight division for the fight! Anyway, in this context, one must mention that Spence Jr. is likely to face Sebastian Fundora next.

Both Errol Spence Jr. and Sebastian Fundora have shown interest in fighting one another. However, after Fundora’s victory over Tim Tszyu, the WBC ordered Fundora to begin negotiations with the mandatory opponent Terence Crawford. Meanwhile, Fundora’s manager Sampson Lewkowicz also expressed their desire to rematch Tszyu in Australia. But, since Fundora and Spence Jr. are with the PBC, promoter Eddie Hearn felt ‘The Truth’ vs. ‘The Towering Inferno’ could also be the next potential big fight!

I think you’ll either see Fundora against Tszyu or Fundora against Spence. I don’t think you will see Fundora against Crawford,” Eddie Hearn told FightHype. Well, only time will tell what is next for Fundora and Spence Jr. But, do you think Gervonta Davis shall be Errol Spence Jr.’s tune-up? Also, what do you make of Davis’ reply?

Mike Tyson broke down the current crop of elite heavyweight boxers, including Anthony Joshua, during a chat with Joe Rogan and it’s truly fascinating.

Tyson appeared on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast in April 2022, and was asked to give his verdict on Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua.

He also gave his opinion on WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, as well as WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Tyson went in-depth on all four fighters, and it’s the kind of analysis you wouldn’t hear from anyone else.

Deontay Wilder

On Wilder, he said: “Having a hard punch is like having a nuclear war, but it doesn’t serve any military value if it doesn’t land on his target.”

Anthony Joshua reveals what will happen if he fights Mike Tyson - Daily Post Nigeria

‘The Bronze Bomber’ suffered two consecutive defeats to Fury in 2020 and 2021, despite putting up a valiant effort in both fights.

After bouncing back with a KO win over Robert Helenius, Wilder then suffered a surprise defeat to Joseph Parker in December, where a win would likely have set up a showpiece fight with Anthony Joshua.

Anthony Joshua

Talking of Joshua, Tyson summarised: “He has never lost hope, he is still learning. That’s why he’s dangerous. Because he’s still f***ing learning.

“Joshua needs to pick up the pace, he’s got so much potential. He has got to turn those jabs into something. Joshua is no walk over. He’s going to have a beautiful life after boxing, he’s beautiful.”

"MIKE TYSON WOULD KNOCK ANTHONY JOSHUA OUT IN ONE ROUND"!!!

Joshua is a two-time WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion, having lost the belts to Andy Ruiz Jr. in June 2019 before claiming them back the following December.

He slipped to a shock loss against Usyk in September and lost a rematch against him the following summer.

Joshua has since won his last three fights, including a fifth round stoppage of Otto Wallin in December last year.

Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson focused on Usyk’s performance in his first fight against Joshua in his analysis, stating: “Usyk is very hard to hit, he has that elite amateur level movement. It was too much for Joshua.”

After Rogan claimed that the Ukrainian moves like a lightweight, Tyson went on to suggest Wilder as a potential future opponent – although that fight seems a way away currently.

Usyk returned to his homeland of Ukraine in 2022 to help fight off invading forces from Russia.

Following a year’s inactivity after his second victory over Joshua, Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois via knockout in August, and is scheduled to fight Fury in February.

Tyson Fury

Last but not least was the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’, and ‘Iron Mike’ spoke glowingly of the WBC heavyweight champion.

Tiger Woods’ ankle is not looking good lately with The Masters in sight

Despite Tiger Woods‘ attempts to return to his best form in recent years, the reality is that he really struggles with multiple types of physical pains or problems. Right now, the Masters is starting next week and Tiger’s participation is suddenly in question due to a new injury. the legendary golfer has been suffering from a plantar fascitis injury that has kept him away from the game for a while. In 2023, Woods only completed a total of 43 holes during last-years tournament. The Augusta National is one of the most complicated golf courses in the world with a grueling walk from all accounts. Amid his ongoing issues, there is a possibility Tiger Woods doesn’t even make it to this tournament.

The Masters: Tiger Woods unreal 2019 win CBS Sports Special revealed - SBNation.com

Folks with low mobility or physical issues that affects their walking are the ones who struggle the most in Augusta. Currently, reports confirmed that Tiger Woods has absolutely no mobility in one of his ankles. With that problem in mind, there is a good chance Tiger will have to wait for next week to see if the pain is no longer there. No announcement has come from the golf legend about this yet. The Masters has a whopping 72 holes, which mans he will have to prepare himself for next week. Woods has Augusta as the next tournament on his schedule but we still have to hear from him directly. He is supposed to speak to the media later on Friday.

Tiger Woods’ close friend thinks he will miss the tournament

Woods’ friend Notah Begay III said this in a conference call: “He’s trying to formulate a strategy and approach that he can work within given the constraints that he’s presented with. And he’s got some constraints. He’s got zero mobility in that left ankle and really has low-back challenges now, which he knew he was going to have. For the past couple months, he’s been trying to find a way to recover. He can play the golf. We always knew the question was going to be: ‘Can he walk the 72 (holes)?’ That’s still up in the air. But can he recover, from one round to the next? That’s the biggest question that I really don’t know and he’s not going to know either until he gets out there and figures out whether the way he’s prepared for this year’s Masters is going to work for him.”

Anthony Joshua predicts the winner of the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul bout

Anthony Joshua recently weighed in on the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul exhibition fight that has been getting a lot of headlines due to the nature of the boxers, the legendary “Iron” Mike Tyson will try to move like his glory days at 58, while the Jake Paul at 27 has been doing exhibition fights constantly after he jumped from YouTube to the ring, and is looking to make his bones as a certified prizefighter.

Anthony Joshua reflected on his pick between both with mixed feelings “[Tyson] is older now, I pray that he comes out healthy, I think Jake Paul [wins] because of youth, that’s the only thing.

A lot has been said about how the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight is also breaking ground by being Netflix’s first live sports event, and some entertainment businessmen like Dana White believe it was about time they dipped their toes in live streaming sports.

UFC head honcho, Dana White weighed in on what it meant for Netflix to now get into the live sports game “I think they’re late to the game, but they are a force. They’re a force, man.” While claiming “I think that Netflix should’ve gotten into live sports years ago,”.

UFC legend CHael Sonnen knows another reason Mike Tyson agreed to fight Jake Paul other than money

UFC President Dana White alrady explained he spoke to Mike Tyson’s wife to ask why on earth he decided to fight Jake Paul on July 20th. Her response was that the offer was too good to turn down, which makes a lot of sense. Turning down offers that could go up to eight figures would be hard to reject by anybody. But a new theory is just out from none other than UFC legend Chael Sonnen, he has a different take of why Mike Tyson decided to get in this fight. According to the host during his show, he is convinced pride had a lot to do with Mike Tyson’s final decision to get involved in this. As you all know, there was a time in which Mike was the scariest man on planet earth. That ego never leaves people when they had a taste of it before.
Here’s what Sonnen said: “Mike Tyson answered it [during a recent interview] without speaking about himself, speaking about his training. A number of guys would simply say, ‘I’ve got far more experience than he [Jake Paul] does. I’m bigger than he is. Last thing to go is our power. Last thing to go is our power’ is terribly problematic because you’re now admitting that’s now a concession that everything else is gone… It’s just a weird thing. Mike Tyson said, ‘I can draw, I can sell tickets. I’m sitting here with you right now. Nobody else from my time, nobody else 60 years old, regardless of sport, has been invited in your studio.’ It’s a great point. It’s true. It was all true and Mike Tyson does have pride.”

Could Mike Tyson lose the fight against Jake Paul?
Everybody is waiting for this fight to take place as the suspense keeps mounting, many fear Mike Tyson could actually get hurt. Any hard punch on the head for a man who is in his late ’50s should be of major concern. The brain is much more delicate at this later age, which means he can definitely get neurological damage with a single punch. Tyson better get as ready as he’ll ever be for this fight because he won’t have it easy against ‘The Problem Chld’.

Mike Tyson will be 58 when he faces Jake Paul in a boxing match in July and the former heavyweight champion has been warned he will only last two rounds.

Mike Tyson has been warned that he will only last two rounds against Jake Paul, regardless of his training efforts. The boxing legend, known as ‘Iron Mike’, will be 58 when he steps into the ring on July 20 in Texas to face YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who is three decades his junior.

Tyson’s last fight was an eight-round exhibition bout against fellow boxing icon Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. He retired mid-fight in his last professional match nearly 20 years ago.

Barry Hearn, President of Matchroom Sport and father of boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, expressed his disapproval of the upcoming fight, suggesting that Tyson is risking his health by returning to the ring.

“It’s going to make a huge amount of money. You can understand Netflix’s approach. If [Tyson] doesn’t win quickly he can’t win,” he stated on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

The Controversy Ignites: Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Battle Shocks..

“I don’t believe the other guy is much of a fighter but he’s fit and he trains and he’s young… two rounds, no matter, when you’re 59, two rounds max, Tyson’s going to be blowing out of his backside because it’s quite dangerous, boxing at that level… I find it quite sad.”

Tyson has confirmed that the fight will be classified as an exhibition, but denied rumours that he and Paul will be wearing headgear and 18-ounce gloves. Eddie Hearn has previously dismissed Paul’s boxing skills, describing him as ‘average’, and he reiterated his father’s sentiments regarding the fight.

Eddie expressed his dismay at the fight, stating: “I think we live in a crazy world where that younger generation is built off views, built off narrative, built off controversy.

Mike Tyson & Jake Paul Training Footage Compared

“As a hardcore fight fan, someone who has been around boxing since I was nine years old, I find it disgusting that a 58 year old man – who was my hero growing up has to even get back in the ring.

“From a financial point of view with the amount of money that man was paid or partially paid during his career, to get in a ring with a 25-year-old guy who can’t really fight.

“I understand it and I was speaking to the Netflix guys, I don’t think they liked my criticism of the event. I’m just going to give you my honest opinion which is, it will sell, people will watch, it’ll be a big event and I don’t like it.”

Despite being a sturdy Texan resident, Simone Biles holds a special partiality towards the NBA squad of Golden State Warriors. It all comes down to the presence of Wardell Stephen ‘Steph’ Curry II in the number 30 jersey. The blandishing went to a heightened level when Simone wished to babysit Steph Curry’s children, Riley and Ryan, out of joy. That awe still exists in the 27-year-old gymnast.

At cruiserweight, he racked up a few impressive stoppages, most notably his vicious knockout of Tony Bellew in 2018.

However, Jones Jr anticipates this won’t be enough to defeat Fury when they duke it out for the undisputed heavyweight crown on May 18.
