Eddie Hearn already has date set for undisputed heavyweight fight following Usyk vs Fury II

The heavyweight division in boxing is in a fantastic place at the moment. Two behemoths in Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury finally squared off a few weeks ago, with the Ukrainian coming out as the undisputed king of the division.

The possibility of a rematch was quickly floated by Fury himself, and it certainly appears that that’s what we’re going to get. That decision could very well free up a world title belt if the IBF doesn’t grant Usyk an exception, which makes things very interesting for mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois.

Hearn is just one promoter and can’t make all of the final decisions, but his plan is not far-fetched at all. In fact, it’s the likely outcome and course of action.

The IBF may not take the belt away from Usyk, but doing so would create an additional world title fight between Joshua and Dubois that is slated to take place at Wembley Stadium. It would be massive, and it would set up another epic undisputed bout in the first half of 2025.
