Terence Crawford has become a free agent as he did not sign a contract with any promotional company, as reported by ESPN.
The former undisputed world champion in two weight divisions had signed a deal with PBC to fight Errol Spence in July 2023. Crawford secured an early victory in that bout. However, the contract was only for one fight with an option for a rematch. However, the window for the second Crawford-Spence fight closed, as Errol was unable to return to the ring earlier due to undergoing surgery on his eye.

Thus, Crawford is currently a free agent. Additionally, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is also without promotional companies, as the Mexican fighter also ended his partnership with PBC.
It’s worth noting that The Ring magazine recently published a fresh P4P (pound-for-pound) ranking independent of weight classes, with American boxer Terence Crawford retaining the top spot.
