With the highly anticipated bout between boxing legend Mike Tyson and YouTube sensation-turned-boxer Jake Paul getting closer, former opponent Roy Jones Jr. has issued a chilling warning to Paul, likening Tyson’s ferocity to that of a “Pitbull dog.”
Jones Jr. says Mike Tyson won’t hold back
In a recent interview with Boxing King Media, Jones Jr., who faced Tyson in an exhibition match in 2020, emphasized that age wouldn’t hinder Tyson’s performance.
“We [are] warriors. We don’t care about getting punched-[we] don’t care what age we are. This [is] what we do,”Jones Jr. declared.

Addressing concerns about the exhibition nature of the fight, Jones Jr. dismissed any notion of restraint from Tyson, stating, “Mike [doesn’t] know how to hold back. Mike’s like a Pitbull dog. Pitbull dogs don’t know how to play. It’s going to turn [into] a fight either way.”
Jake Paul, known for his controversial matchups with UFC fighters, expressed both excitement and apprehension about facing Tyson.
“I’m a little scared [because] it is Mike Tyson,”Paul admitted during his podcast, “I’m just [going to] have a wow moment that I am actually about to fight Mike Tyson.”
While Jones Jr. predicts an easy victory for Tyson, recent reports suggest potential alterations to the rules, fueling speculation about the nature of the showdown.

A source from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations claimed that the contest might only be sanctioned under exhibition rules.
Earlier reports suggested that the boxers could be seen wearing protective headgear but Paul refuted the claims.
