Per the available accounts, an agreement has been reached between him and Frank Martin for a fight, tentatively by the second quarter of this year. The latter’s WBA lightweight title could be at stake. Discussions over the match’s outcome have already started making appearances across social media. He is one of the most prodigious hands to have come out of the Mayweather stable. The teenage sensation scored his third professional victory on the Tim Tszyu–Sebastian Fundora headliner the day before yesterday. The details regarding the ‘Tank’ and Martin match-up have yet to receive any confirmation. However, Moton minced no words when a reporter tried to gauge his views on the potential Abdul Wahid, whom Mayweather Promotions used to promote until 2022, and Martin line-up.
‘Champside’ caught up with the Salt Lake City-born boxer. The reporter asked, “Can I get a prediction on uh Tank versus Frank from you if if that fight were to come?” Curmel Moton replied that it would be a great fight. The way he saw it, Martin might be able to take the lead in the initial few rounds. He clarified that the reason he thought so was because the Baltimorean has shown in the past a tendency to sacrifice a few rounds in bouts.

“Uh, I think it’s going to be a great match uh I feel like Frank will probably get the first few rounds; we know Tank give away rounds a lot,” said Moton. However, he added that ‘Tank’ won’t take much time before, using his vast experience, he will catch up with ‘The Ghost’ and force his will to win the contest. The Mayweather boxer said, “I feel like he’ll probably catch him, uh, he used to experience, and catch him later on in the fight and take get the dub.”
Abdul Wahid remains, arguably, one of the ‘faces of boxing’. The mere suggestion of his return and fight talks seems to have sent fans and followers into excitement.
