Jake Paul has issued a major ticket update ahead of his upcoming boxing match with Mike Tyson at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium this summer
Interest in Jake Paul’s mega-fight with Mike Tyson is soaring, with almost 90,000 fans signing up for pre-sale.
The influencer boxer, 27, will go up against the former ‘Baddest Man of the Planet’, 57, at the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, on July 20. In a break from the norm, the bout will be streamed on Netflix as part of a usual subscription package, not via a PPV, which can set fight fans back up to £25 for one show.

The fight being more accessible financially hasn’t seemingly dimmed the interest of fans wanting to attend the event live. AT&T Stadium, which has hosted prestigious events like the Super Bowl and Wrestlemania, can be configured to hold 100,000 fans.
Tickets for the bout are not yet on sale, but pre-sale sign-up is available and Paul has announced on Instagram that 89,000 fans have already put their name down. That is despite the fact a number of key details for the fight are still to be confirmed.
Paul has angrily dismissed suggestions the pair will wear headguards. He blasted: “It’s f***ing absurd. First of all, obviously, none of that’s true. They’re so f***ing stupid. Anybody who believes that s*** should not be allowed to vote.”

However, speculation over the rules for the fight has raged on social media. At present, it appears the fight will be an exhibition affair with two-minute rounds instead three-minute rounds, 16oz gloves rather than 10oz, no judges and no winner, unless there is a knockout.
Both fighters must also pass brain and hearts tests for the bout to be sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Those rules would disappoint many fight fans, but Paul insists the showdown could be a game-changer for the sport.
“The fact it’s on Netflix will really revolutionise the game in boxing,” he said on his BS w/Jake Paul podcast. “Streaming could be a very bright future for the sport. It’s a whole entertainment spectacle – Cowboys stadium…”

Asked if it could mark the beginning of the end of PPV boxing shows, Paul, initially alluding to himself, added: “I’ll probably still do pay-to-view, but I don’t know, we’ll see. Maybe this is what the fans are going to show out for.”
