Terence Crawford has dropped the biggest hint yet that he is set to move up in weight.

Crawford defeated Errol Spence to become undisputed welterweight world champion last year, and reports have now emerged that he will make the move to 154lbs.

Rumours first indicated that he was in talks to face British star Chris Eubank Jr, with his potential foe confirming the news on social media.

But it has now been reported that Crawford has instead used his status as WBO ‘super champion’ at welterweight to become their mandatory challenger at super-welterweight.

This makes him first-pick for a showdown with the winner of Tim Tszyu’s WBC and WBO super-welterweight world title clash with late-replacement Sebastian Fundora this weekend.

Crawford posted a photo of himself with his team in the gym today as his future became clearer, flaunting a seriously impressive physique.

Fans were quick to see the drastic change in his frame, with one commenting: “Bud looking big and bulky.”

Another agreed: “His body type is seriously scary. He reminds me of Andre Ward.”

A fan added: “Looks ready for the jump to 154lbs, I don’t think anybody is a threat to him there.”

But surprisingly, one fan was less interested, commenting: “Go beat up Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis bro. Stop ducking.”

Crawford is still considered boxing’s pound-for-pound king and is the hottest property in the sport on current form, as he looks to conquer another weight class.

A fantasy fight which fans have salivated over is a potential clash with Canelo Alvarez, who is currently the undisputed champion at 168lbs.
