Gervonta Davis has taken a swipe at Shakur Stevenson after his rival mocked his leaked sparring footage with Devin Haney.

Haney’s rival Ryan Garcia public post the sparring video on his YouTube channel, which appeared to show Haney being rocked by ‘Tank’.

Haney appeared to be on the back foot during the entire session, and Adrien Broner who was present, also stepped in and separated the action briefly.

WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson took to Twitter to respond to the video, tweeting: “Never in my life have I taken a beating like that by any fighter, good lord.”

Davis was prompt to fire back, in a later deleted tweet, writing: “You know what’s up too.”

Haney Responds: "Truth Be Told I Beat The Shit Out Of Tank"

The three-weight world champion called out Stevenson last year, but a showdown has not yet materialised.

Stevenson, who made the switch to lightweight has insisted that the 29-year-old is avoiding a clash, but believes it will happen eventually.

Haney has been in a verbal battle with Garcia since their April 20 blockbuster was confirmed.

The latest jibe with the sparring footage will likely anger Haney further, after fiery confrontations at their two face-offs on their media tour.

After the footage leaked, Haney was quick to issue his own response, tweeting: “Never did they post a chopped up edited video.

“16 years old & in there holding my own. We bet AB pops & he honoured it & paid! Ryan we watched you quit, we are not the same & never will be. Tune in April 20th, I’ll show it!”

Haney will be hoping to put the footage behind him, given the sparring was held several years ago before his world title rise.

It will be another big challenge against Garcia this spring, but he will be hoping to end their rivalry for good with a dominant win.
